BMP Installation, Maintenance & Stabilization Services

Every BMP we install across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex is built to satisfy both TPDES General Permit TXR150000 and local municipal MS4 engineering standards—from pre-grading perimeter controls to 70% vegetative density and final permit termination.

01 • Perimeter Sediment Control

Silt Fence (Standard & Wire-Backed) & Perimeter Controls

Price This Scope

Trenched-in commercial silt fence, TxDOT/municipal wire-backed silt fence, sediment filter socks, straw wattles, and rock check dams engineered to contain sheet-flow sediment before it leaves your limits of construction (LOC).

Field Installation & Material Specifications

  • Trenched 6" deep × 6" wide and mechanically compacted on the up-slope side so runoff never undercuts the fabric
  • Heavy-duty steel T-posts or hardwood stakes spaced per municipal MS4 & TxDOT standards (including wire-backed mesh reinforcement for high-flow perimeters)
  • Compost filter socks, straw wattles, and rock check dams / triangular sediment filter dikes for swales, bar ditches, and hard-surface perimeters
  • J-hooks and returns turned upslope at grade transitions and low points to prevent end-around bypass
TXR150000 & MS4 Compliance Rule

TPDES General Permit TXR150000 requires perimeter sediment controls to be installed along all down-slope boundaries and side-slope perimeters BEFORE grading or clearing begins.

Typical DFW Jobsite Applications
  • Commercial pad sites & retail developments
  • Single-family residential subdivisions & individual builder lots
  • Roadway, TXDOT right-of-way, and linear utility corridors
  • Industrial warehouses, schools, and municipal facilities
02 • Track-Out & Washout Control

Stabilized Construction Entrances & Concrete Washout Pits

Price This Scope

Heavy-duty 3"–5" bull rock / crushed stone construction exits over geotextile filter fabric to stop mud track-out onto city streets, paired with leak-proof concrete washout containment pits.

Field Installation & Material Specifications

  • 3" to 5" coarse aggregate / bull rock installed to full municipal thickness (8"+ depth) over non-woven geotextile separation fabric
  • Standard 20'–30' wide × 50'+ long pads sized for tandem dump trucks, concrete mixers, and heavy equipment
  • Rock refresh / top-dressing service when heavy traffic or wet clay fouls the aggregate void space
  • Lined portable or earthen-bermed concrete washout pits with high-visibility signage to contain high-pH slurry, mortar, and stucco wash water
TXR150000 & MS4 Compliance Rule

Off-site vehicle track-out onto paved streets and uncontained concrete washout discharges are the #1 triggers for immediate MS4 city stop-work orders in the DFW Metroplex.

Typical DFW Jobsite Applications
  • Primary & secondary jobsite access points onto public streets
  • Temporary batch plant haul roads & staging yards
  • Tilt-wall, foundation pour, and paving operations
  • Subdivision builder access drives
03 • MS4 Storm Sewer Protection

Curb Inlet, Drop Inlet & Area Drain Protection

Price This Scope

Municipal-compliant curb inlet sediment filters, gravel bags, rock socks, and drop-inlet filter fabric/block systems that protect active municipal storm sewers while maintaining overflow bypass capacity during heavy Texas storms.

Field Installation & Material Specifications

  • Curb inlet filter tubes, gutter buddies, and wire-supported stone/gravel bag barriers tailored to city-specific MS4 details (Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington, Frisco, Plano, McKinney, etc.)
  • Area drain and drop-inlet protection (silt-sack inserts, block-and-gravel structures, and wrapped grates) for on-site storm structures prior to paving
  • Built-in high-flow overflow weirs to prevent hazardous street ponding while trapping coarse sediment
  • Rapid post-storm sediment cleanout and filter replacement after 0.5"+ rain events
TXR150000 & MS4 Compliance Rule

Once storm sewer inlets are cut in or adjacent streets carry construction runoff, every receiving inlet must be protected until all contributing drainage areas achieve final stabilization.

Typical DFW Jobsite Applications
  • Active subdivision streets & cul-de-sacs
  • Commercial parking lot drop inlets & curb cuts
  • Municipal roadway widening & curb-and-gutter rebuilds
  • Perimeter city storm drains down-gradient of disturbed soil
04 • Temporary & Final Stabilization

Erosion Control Blankets, Hydromulch, Seeding & Sodding

Price This Scope

Slope & channel erosion control matting (curlex / straw / coconut blankets), drill & broadcast seeding, hydromulching, and solid sod installation engineered to pass the TCEQ 70% vegetative density requirement so you can terminate your permit.

Field Installation & Material Specifications

  • Single-net and double-net excelsior (Curlex), straw, and coconut/coir erosion control blankets anchored with heavy-gauge staples on 3:1+ slopes, detention ponds, and drainage channels
  • Hydromulch (bonded fiber matrix / wood fiber mulch + tackifier + seasonal Bermuda/Rye seed mix) for rapid coverage across large disturbed acreage
  • Solid Bermuda or St. Augustine sodding for parkways, curb returns, detention pond trickle channels, and municipal right-of-way acceptance
  • Temporary stabilization solutions when grading pauses for 14+ calendar days per TXR150000 rules
TXR150000 & MS4 Compliance Rule

Under TXR150000, operators cannot file a Notice of Termination (eNOT) or stop 7/14-day inspections until all unpaved disturbed areas reach at least 70% uniform perennial vegetative cover.

Typical DFW Jobsite Applications
  • Detention / retention pond slopes, berms, and outfalls
  • Roadway bar ditches, medians, and parkway strips
  • Mass-graded commercial pads awaiting vertical construction
  • Final project closeout for eNOT & city Certificate of Occupancy (CO)
05 • Deficiency Response & Closeout

Ongoing BMP Maintenance, Inspection Repairs & Final Removal

Price This Scope

Fast-turnaround field crews to close out open SWP3 inspection action items, re-trench blown-out silt fence, clean out sediment buildup, refresh rock entrances, and remove all temporary BMPs once final stabilization is achieved.

Field Installation & Material Specifications

  • Direct dispatch from ProTex Environmental or ProTexion inspection deficiency reports—no chasing unresponsive subcontractors
  • Sediment removal when accumulation reaches 50% of silt fence or inlet filter capacity
  • Post-utility trenching and post-storm repairs within TCEQ's required 7-calendar-day corrective action window
  • Complete end-of-project tear-out, haul-off of temporary silt fence/stakes/wire, and grade touch-up so your eNOT and final city walkthrough pass on the first visit
TXR150000 & MS4 Compliance Rule

TXR150000 requires damaged or ineffective BMPs identified during a site inspection to be repaired or replaced before the next rain event or within 7 calendar days—and requires all temporary BMPs to be removed prior to filing an eNOT.

Typical DFW Jobsite Applications
  • Closing out open 7-day / 14-day SWP3 inspection deficiencies
  • Emergency pre-storm reinforcement & post-storm recovery
  • Phased BMP relocations as site utilities and paving progress
  • Final temporary BMP removal for TCEQ Notice of Termination (eNOT)
